FREE Site Survey

Our FREE home visit is to establish what you have in terms of your existing fireplace and chimney as well as us be able to listen to your individual needs and desires. Having determined this we will be able to recommend suitable products and works. At this point we would now be able to provide you with a well thought out estimate of the likely costs.
Additionally we can do a full CCTV survey and show you the results of this.

Estimates

Based on the above we will be able to give you a detailed and itemised estimate that will include all building works and materials to complete the install. We promise to do our absolute best to provide you with an accurate estimate, however fireplace and chimney works can in some cases be unpredictable so if extra works are necessary we will of course consult with you first for your approval so as not to exceed your estimate without prior notice.

Smoke Test & Re-lining

We use three grades of multi fuel double skinned stainless steel liners for our installations:

316/316 stainless steel flexible liner with up to a 20 year manufacture warranty

904/904 stainless steel flexible liner with up to a 35 year manufacture warranty

When professionally installed by our knowledgeable approved engineers you can ensure that this chimney lining method will provide you with a reliable and guaranteed lining system, that is signed off under Building Regulations through Hetas and Gas Safe.

With our knowledge we can provide accurate professional assessment of your flue way, ensuring that the largest possible flue lining size is achieved, aiding your desired working fireplace opening, this will help to give better efficiency & you can rest assured your doing your bit to cut your carbon footprint.

Although we don’t have a showroom we can present you with a vast range of products to choose from. This can be done on our initial FREE home visit where we carry printed material and digital content to give you a wide vary to browse. Because we don’t have a showroom this means we are in fact able to offer a wider selection that most other companies which are limited due to available space in their showroom.

Whether you’re looking for free standing, built-in or open fires we are sure we are able to assist you in the right fireplace for your home. We also extend our product selection based around the different fuel source required and so you’ll be able to choose from pellet, gas, wood or electric. To accompany all of the above we even have a fine selection of fireplace and stove accessories on offer.

Bespoke Fire Place Design

We have teamed up with Hibbitt & Sons, which are Cambridgeshire’s oldest stone masonry company, with over 125 years’ experience, they are one of the most respected company’s in the stone masonry industry and like ourselves are a family run business from top to bottom.
They are happy for you to visit their workshop & look at the surrounds on display & pick the stone you require for either your surround or your hearth.
Hibbitt & Sons are happy to design the Surround to your exact requirements and help you through the process from start to finish, any surround is possible in any stone, Hibbitt & Sons will tailor make your unique surround to your specific requirements, forming you a bespoke fireplace surround.

On a home visit, we will bring you images of past & current fireplace surrounds Hibbitt & Sons offer, along with samples of the stone for your Hearth & infill requirements, you can then upon having a better idea of which surround you would like and what hearth material you have chosen, visit Hibbitt & Sons showroom & workshop, which is conveniently located on Victoria road, still central to Cambridge yet you won’t be stuck in the very central Cambridge traffic.
Hibbitt & Sons will then help you to decide which stone you require & then hand craft this stone to your requirements.

Installation

We will arrange with you a date that is most appropriate and convenient for us to begin the installation of your chosen products. This work is guaranteed to be undertaken by individual/s that are HETAS or Gas Safe registered installers.

The installation process will include that of a chimney sweep followed by chimney lining and fireplace alterations. Our installers are highly trained so that we can guarantee that your chosen products and works are installed and finished to the highest standards. Your safety is our main concern which is why we will always adhere to a strict health and safety policy. Where it is needed we can arrange for the erection of scaffolding equipment for safe access.

Restoring fireplaces, can remove from breast, take away sand down & restore it, can heat gun all old paint off, sand down all rust and completely restore it.
